you to produce delightful drawings and paintings under the supervision
of Ann Hopewell, who will be your tutor during your holiday.
The course is suitable for the beginner to the experienced and we
invite you to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and delight in the outstanding
beauty that the island has to offer.
The Alderney holiday is based on painting outdoors and will consist
of small groups (max. 12) to ensure individual attention. Each day
we have chosen locations of special scenic interest.

We
hope that Alderney will live up to its reputation for fine weather,
but just in case we also provide a studio where we meet for demonstrations,
discussions and to complete our work.
You will have enough spare time to explore the island so be sure
to carry your camera with you as Alderney is a haven for wildlife.
Look out for black rabbits, the blonde hedgehogs and seabirds such
as puffins, fulmars and guillemots. |

At
the beginning of the holiday we will discover your personal interests
and experience and this will help us assess your individual requirements.
The course will include the use of Watercolours, Water Colour Pencils,
Pen and Ink and Pastels. The choice will be yours – to choose
one medium or try several. |

holiday will run Sunday to Sunday
Alderney Painting Holidays are held mainly outdoors during the Spring
and Summer, and indoors during the Winter months.
Equipment is not provided and you should bring your own. A list of
suggested equipment will be forwarded to you 4 weeks before your
course.
We will be delighted to answer any questions you may have regarding
painting holidays. |

We
have found that people prefer to choose their own type of accommodation.
You can enjoy the genuine hospitality of Alderney's charming
privately owned hotels or its delightful cosy quiet guest houses.
If you prefer your independence, there is a choice of self-catering
accommodation.
It is essential to book early and be sure to confirm your booking
before you travel to Alderney.
Most accommodation offers a package deal that includes:

flights (from Stansted or Southampton)

taxi transfers
- Choice
of full English or Continental breakfast
- Optional
half board
The
island can offer excellent food ranging from restaurants serving
the finest seafood to reasonably priced pub snacks, or delightful
garden barbecues.

Course Fee of £125.00 pp to your total.
If you prefer a total costing of your holiday based at a local guest

your partner would like to join you on your holiday, there is an
excellent range of activities. Golf, tennis, fishing, bird watching,
walking . . . or hire a buggy or bike and explore
the beautiful surroundings, take a trip to puffin island or just
totally relax and soak up the atmosphere. |
